CITIZEN STAFF REPORT Registration opens July 22 at 8 a.m. for a Popup Driver Licensing event set for Aug. 5 in Lovely. The event will take place at the Rufus Reed Public Library, 1442 Riverfront Road for residents of Martin County. Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made online: drive.ky.gov/Drivers/Pages/Popup-Map.aspx

Online registration portal open for statewide permit testing event
After initially canceling, Kentucky released appointments Saturday at 9 a.m. for the statewide written permit testing event set for Saturday, Aug. 2 to help those interested in obtaining their permit. More than 1,300 appointments were released through the online scheduling portal (telegov.egov.com/KSP). These appointments will be available Aug. 2 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
