INEZ — This week’s “Meet the Candidates” features races for Martin County Clerk, Martin County Jailer, and Martin County Coroner.

Candidates responded to a survey provided by the Mountain Citizen to let voters know who they are and what they stand for. Their responses below appear in the order that candidates will be listed on the ballot.

Two candidates are running for Martin County Clerk on the Republican ballot – incumbent Susie Skyles and Kathy Maynard.

One of the two Clerk candidates responded to the survey.

Four candidates are running for Martin County Jailer on the Republican ballot — Joshua Hunt, Paul McCoy, Buddy Stacy and William “Bill” Preece.

All four Jailer candidates responded to the survey.

Two candidates are running for Martin County Coroner on the Republican ballot – Zack Callaham and incumbent Chris Todd.

Both Coroner candidates responded to the survey.

The Primary Election is May 17.
