DAV awards scholarships
Coalition Better Health Care and DAV Chapter 18, based in Auxier, Kentucky, presented their first-ever $500 scholarship to Martin County High School senior Dennison Davis for being his class valedictorian. The group presented scholarships to valedictorians in Johnson and Floyd counties also.

Crum receives collegiate offer from Bethel University
MCKENZIE, Tenn. — Martin County senior Tate Crum received an offer to play football at the collegiate level. Crum was among 130 players who attended the Bethel University Wildcats Prospect Football Camp on Saturday in McKenzie, Tennesee.
