Annavene (Fields) Anderson, 99, of Logan, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025.

Born Feb. 26, 1926, in Wayne County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Fields and Vicy (Spaulding) Fields.

Her heartfelt love will always be remembered by both family and friends who affectionately called her “Granny.” Her garden of flowers welcomed you to a door that was always open to anyone who needed a rest, a meal, and a warm hug to nourish your soul as you journey on your way.

She will be embraced in her eternal home by her parents; daughter Carrie; her husband of 50 years, James Anderson; sisters Virgie, Polly, Charlotte, Isabelle and Florence; and brothers Delbert, Lindsey, Pyrus, Jessie, Leonard and Lundy.

Remaining to carry on her memory are her son, Jesse (Lucinda) Johnson; granddaughters Jessie, Dessie, Angie, Wendy, Sheila, Leesa, Sabrina and SueEllen; grandsons Jay, Darian, Kevin and Jacob; 29 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great‐grandchildren.

Visitation was conducted Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Annavene was laid to rest Oct. 20, 2025, at Messer Cemetery in Stonecoal, West Virginia, under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
