SOUTH WILLIAMSON — Three suspects now face murder and attempted murder charges in a shooting incident in South Williamson Friday that left two men dead and a woman critically wounded.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to a residence on State Highway 292 W Friday, where they found three individuals with gunshot injuries. Jacob Adair, 28 years old of Belfry, and Rodney Estep, 38 years old of Lexington, both suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office. Chasity Adair, 28, also from Belfry, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital.

By Friday evening, three men from Cincinnati – Jolon McCree, 22; Devon Overstreet, 26; and Orlando (Joshua) Pack, 25 – were arrested for the shootings. They were apprehended following a high-speed pursuit that began in Carter County and ended in Lewis County.

All three are in the Carter County Detention Center, facing two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Following the shooting, the trio fled the scene in a 2015 Dodge Charger stolen from Adair. KSP issued a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) alert for the vehicle.

The escape soon turned into a high-speed police pursuit that started in Carter County and ended in Lewis County. The Lewis County Herald reported the county dispatch received a call shortly after 3 p.m. about a chase underway in Carter County and approaching Lewis County on the Grayson Spur. Lewis County deputies joined the chase that at times reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour with the suspect vehicle driving head-on at oncoming traffic. The pursuit ended in the vicinity of Town Branch Road on the Grayson Spur.

At the time of their arrest, the suspects faced various charges. McCree’s charges included first-degree wanton endangerment, theft by unlawful taking of an automobile, excessive speeding, driving on the wrong side, and fleeing police. Overstreet faced charges of theft by unlawful taking of an automobile and evading police using a motor vehicle. Pack’s charges included possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), theft by unlawful taking of an automobile, and evading police in a motor vehicle.

Detective Joshua Scott is leading the investigation. KSP personnel and Appalachian First Response Ambulance Service assisted him at the crime scene.
