Norma Jean Maynard
1933—2026

Norma Jean Maynard, 93, of Inez, passed away peacefully at her home Aug. 29, 2026.

Born March 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Pricey (Smith) Maynard.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Maynard; two sons, John Herbert Maynard and Gregory Glen Maynard; two daughters, Sharon Maynard and Legina Maynard Jude; and her siblings.

Norma is survived by her sons, Joe Maynard and Ronald Maynard; daughters, Denise (Garry) Gauze and Natasha (Stan) Boyd; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma was a member of the Inez Church of Christ.

Funeral Services were held Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, with James Russell Maynard officiating. Burial followed at the Herbert Maynard Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
