Joey Maynard
1969—2026

Joey Maynard, 56, of Inez, passed away Aug. 20, 2026, at his residence.

Born Nov. 5, 1969, in Paintsville, he was the son of the late Amos and Peachie (Horn) Maynard.

In addition to his parents, Joey is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Maynard; one sister, Kathy Maynard; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Michelle Delong; and one great-grandson, Holtyn Reigh Delong.

Joey is survived by his wife, Chandra (Daniel) Maynard of Inez; one son, Nicholas Amos (Alley) Maynard of Raceland; six daughters, Brittany Nicole (Jeff) Daniel of Tomahawk, Latasha (Jeremy Jones) Delong of Louisa, Tiffany Daniel of Ashland, Kaylan Daniel, Haley Lashae Daniel and Jaylynn “JJ” Daniel, all of Inez; five sisters, Debbie (Henry) Fuggitt of Inez, Amy Mullins of Springfield, Ohio, Vickie Sue (Rush) Williamson of Louisa, Robin (CJ Lowe) Howard of Inez and Melissa Tackett of Mount Sterling; one son-in-law, Donald Ray Delong Jr.; and one sister-in-law, Mary Maynard of Springfield, Ohio.

Joey is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Hannah Jayden Smith, Donald William Delong, Jordan Alexander Delong, Jasmine Nicole Delong, Nevaeh Peach Daniel, Gabriel Dominic Earl Daniel, Devin Tyler (Ellie) Morris Jr., Alexis Whitaker, Kaitlyn Michelle Maynard and Jaiden Whitaker; one grandson on the way, Nicholas Carter Maynard; six great-grandchildren, Haizley Raelle Delong, Ryder Dale Jude, Hope Faith Luster, Devin Tyler Morris Jr., Owen Tyler Luster and Jax Allen Luster; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Aug. 24, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, with Chip Gauze and Jimmy Maynard officiating. Burial followed at the Amos Maynard Cemetery under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
