Pike grand jury indicts 15

PIKEVILLE — A Pike County grand jury indicted 15 people Aug. 11 on charges ranging from drug trafficking and criminal abuse to bail jumping, DUI and fleeing or evading.

Donald Bain, 47, of Tazewell, Virginia, stands indicted on three counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Adam K. Bentley, 39, of St. Catharine, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance; DUI, third offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Blevins, 28, of Belfry, was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance; first-degree possession of a controlled substance; leaving the scene of an accident; and driving without a license.

Robin Campbell, 60, of Ashcamp, stands indicted on one count of first-degree bail jumping.

Jason K. Chaffins, 41, of West Liberty, was indicted on charges of two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Lauren Chaney, 32, of Louisville, was indicted on one count of first-degree bail jumping.

William Johnson, 40, of Virgie, stands indicted on one count of first-degree bail jumping.

Ashton Kinney, 28, of Hardy, was indicted on one count each of first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kelly Kinney, 48, of Lenore, West Virginia, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Teonna McNutt, 24, of Lick Creek, stands indicted on two counts of first-degree criminal abuse.

John Payne, 36, of Ransom, was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance; first-degree possession of a controlled substance; leaving the scene of an accident; and driving without a license.

Kirk Ramey, 30, of Lick Creek, was indicted on two counts of first-degree criminal abuse.

Kristy Smith, 26, of Phelps, was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property and third-degree fleeing or evading.

Donald Wayne Smith, 45, of Grethel, was indicted on charges of DUI, fourth, and DUI-suspended, third.

Eric Varney, 25, of South Williamson, was indicted on one count of first-degree bail jumping.

An indictment is an accusation. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
