PIKEVILLE — A Pike County grand jury indicted 16 people July 22 on charges ranging from drug possession and impaired driving to robbery, strangulation and eavesdropping.

Patrick Adkins, 36, of Belfry, was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property, second-degree fleeing or evading police and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Earl Bevins, 44, of Betsy Layne, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-offense DUI, speeding and having no brake lights.

Komas Bryant, 52, of Shelby Gap, was indicted on charges of first- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Jeremy Daniels, 45, of Majestic, was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Monroe Jackson, 60, of Pikeville, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jim Bob Jones, 39, of Prestonsburg, was indicted on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, giving an officer a false name and resisting arrest.

Richard Jones, 40, of Elkhorn City, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-offense DUI, having an inadequate silencer and failing to produce an insurance card.

Brandon Justice, 43, of Mouthcard, was indicted on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-offense DUI, having a prescription drug outside its proper container, driving without a license, having no insurance, no tail lamps, no brake lights and no registration plates, and second-degree persistent felony offender.

Hollie Lamb, 41, of Millstone, was indicted on two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and one charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Toby Newsome, 48, of Pikeville, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-offense DUI, possession of marijuana, having no insurance, driving on a suspended license and having no registration plates.

Brandon Pinion, 26, of Elkhorn City, was indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.

Rex Risner, 46, and Ashley Risney, 38, both of Salyersville, were indicted on charges of theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.

Destinee Stewart, 31, of Tram, was indicted on charges of first-degree robbery, theft by unlawful taking and fourth-degree assault.

Jacob Wilson, 18, of Pikeville, was indicted on charges of first- and second-degree fleeing or evading police, theft by unlawful taking, three counts each of first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief, and one count each of first-offense DUI, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, speeding and disregarding a stop sign.

Craig Yeomans, 26, of Pikeville, was indicted on one count of eavesdropping.

An indictment is an accusation and does not establish guilt. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
