GATLINBURG — Four area wrestlers helped the Kentucky Combat Queens finish fourth in both the high school and 16U divisions at the Bootleggers Duals in June.

Kennedy Maynard, Harleigh Maynard, Kenleigh Estep and Brianna Muncy competed for the Combat Queens under coach Kenny Maynard.

Estep led the team with a dominant 8-1 record across the two divisions. She recorded five pins, including a 17-second fall over Amelia Peterson and a 38-second pin of Grace Winther.

Estep also pinned Berlyn Gamlin in 1:58, Sydney Baker in 2:58 and Austin Haney in 3:37. She added a 10-6 decision over Aria Bushaw and received two forfeit victories. Her only loss came in a 17-12 decision against Kinsley Kitts.

Kennedy Maynard earned two victories while competing at 130 pounds. She pinned Elizabeth Lane of Warfare Wrestling in 40 seconds and scored a 9-1 major decision over Brooklyn Shacklett of Middle Tennessee Training.

Harleigh Maynard competed at 110 pounds against wrestlers from Illinois, Kentucky and other states. She earned one victory by forfeit.

Muncy competed at 160 pounds and wrestled four matches for the Combat Queens.
