Charles Collins
1958—2026

Charles Collins, age 68, of Lovely, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2026, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born July 10, 1958, at home on Maynard Fork, he was the son of the late Elijah and Madgie Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Andy Collins and Billy Joe Collins, and one sister, Donna Kay Collins.

Charles worked for the Martin County Board of Education for more than 30 years and has been a member of Union United Baptist Church since 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa “Beth” (McManus) Collins of Lovely; one daughter, Alisha (Jonathan) Stacy of Louisa; and one son, Chuck (Diane) Collins of Warfield; three brothers, T.D. (Bertha) Collins of Paintsville, Elijah Lee (Lynn) Collins of Pilgrim and James Eric Collins of Inez; nd one sister, Geraldine Sue Litton of Inez. Charles is also survived by four grandchildren, Abby Collins, Alivia Stacy, Doug Sheppard and Bryanna Sheppard, and a host of great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Union United Baptist Church with Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jude-Howell Cemetery. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
