PRESTONSBURG — The Martin County 10U All-Stars battled through the District 3 Cal Ripken Tournament at Stonecrest and picked up two wins during their tournament run.
The tournament ran June 18-23 in Prestonsburg. Martin County opened against Pikeville on June 19, then bounced back with back-to-back wins over Johnson County and Belfry on June 20. The All-Stars’ run ended June 21 in a close 5-4 loss to Letcher County.

Martin County opened the tournament with a 16-1 loss to Pikeville on June 19.
The All-Stars scored one run on two hits. Tyler Allen and Christian Davis each had one hit. Kingslee Copley scored Martin County’s run and stole two bases. Greyson Maynard and Waylon Porter each added a stolen base. Ayden Allen, Colin Chapman, Copley and Maynard each drew a walk, while Tyler Allen was hit by a pitch.
Porter, Ayden Allen and Tyler Allen shared time on the mound. Porter pitched one inning, giving up one hit and two earned runs while striking out one. Ayden Allen worked two-thirds of an inning and struck out one. Tyler Allen pitched one inning and struck out one.
Martin County responded with a 21-11 win over Johnson County on June 20.

The All-Stars scored 21 runs on 16 hits. Ayden Allen went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Tyler Allen went 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBIs and two doubles. Davis went 1-for-2 with three runs and two walks. Porter went 3-for-3 with four runs, one RBI and one walk.
Chapman had one hit, including a double, scored twice and drove in two runs. Copley finished with two hits and three RBIs. Maynard went 2-for-2 with a double, one run, one RBI and one walk. Stacy had one hit, one run and one RBI. Goforth scored twice and walked twice. Horn scored once, drove in one run and walked once.
Porter stole four bases in the win. Maynard and Tyler Allen each stole two, while Davis and Horn each added one stolen base.
Maynard and Tyler Allen handled the pitching duties. Maynard pitched 2.2 innings and struck out four. Tyler Allen threw 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out one.
Martin County stayed alive later June 20 with a 19-9 win over Belfry.

The All-Stars scored 19 runs on 15 hits. Ayden Allen had one hit, one run and one RBI. Tyler Allen had one hit, four runs, two RBIs and three walks. Davis went 3-for-3 with a double, four runs, two RBIs and one walk. Porter went 4-for-4 with a double, three runs and three RBIs. Chapman finished with two hits, one run, three RBIs and one walk. Copley had one hit, two runs and two walks. Maynard drove in two runs. Stacy had two hits, two runs and one RBI. Goforth scored once and walked twice. Horn had one hit, two runs and one walk.
Martin County was active on the bases. Chapman and Tyler Allen each stole three bases. Copley, Horn and Porter each stole two. Goforth and Stacy each added one stolen base.
Davis, Tyler Allen and Ayden Allen combined on the mound. Davis pitched 2.1 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs while striking out two. Tyler Allen worked 2.1 innings and struck out three. Ayden Allen recorded the final out without allowing a run.
Martin County’s tournament run ended June 21 with a 5-4 loss to Letcher County.

The All-Stars scored four runs on two hits. Porter had one hit and scored one run. Maynard added one hit and walked once. Ayden Allen, Tyler Allen and Chapman each scored once and walked once. Copley walked three times. Goforth and Horn each walked once.
Maynard stole two bases in the game. Tyler Allen, Porter, Goforth and Horn each stole one.
Ayden Allen, Davis and Stacy shared pitching duties. Ayden Allen pitched two innings, allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out one. Davis pitched two innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs while striking out one. Stacy threw one scoreless inning.
