Kaitlyn Michelle Delong, age 20, of Debord, passed away June 18, 2026.

Born July 27, 2005, in Prestonsburg, she was the daughter of Donald Delong Jr. and Michelle Newsome.

Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sherry Delong and one nephew, Holtyn Delong.

Survivors include her father, Donald Delong Jr.; mother, Michelle (Jason Wiley) Newsome; stepmother, Latasha (Jeremy Jones) Delong; grandparents, Donald Delong, Michael Newsome and Rebecca Sweeney; two brothers, William (Alissa) Smith, and Jordan (Angel Mollett) Delong; three sisters, Jasmine (Shane Jude) Delong, Tosha Horn and Hannah Smith; aunts and uncles, Melissa (Chris) Sizemore, Melinda Ooten, Melissa (Makayla Horn) Newsome, Aaron (Ashley) Delong, Zack Delong, Grayson Delong, Dustin (Kristi) and Michael (Maggie) Newsome Jr. She is also survived by her niece, Haizley Delong; nephew, Ryder Jude; first cousins, Jake Delong, Amarah Delong, Brooke Sizemore and Blake (Brittany) Sizemore; her beloved boyfriend John Haney; loving friend, Brandon Newsome; Kylin Luster, whom she loved as her own little boy; and a host of family members and friends who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez with Randy Cassady officiating. Burial will follow at the Goble-Delong Family Cemetery in Debord.

Friends may visit the funeral home Sunday, June 21 and Monday, June 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
