INEZ — Lyric Howell is the Kirk & Crum Law Office Player of the Week.

Howell opened the Martin County Cal Ripken tournament by going 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run, a double, four RBIs and two runs scored in a 16-5 victory over the Orioles. He also earned the win on the mound, allowing just one hit and one run while striking out four batters in two innings of work.

In the semifinals against the MC Smack Daddies, Howell struck out 10 batters over four innings while helping the Dodgers secure a 5-4 victory and a berth in the championship game. He also scored two runs, including a steal of home.

Howell continued his strong play in the championship game against Reds, collecting a hit, driving in a run and scoring three times as the Dodgers rallied from a two-run deficit to claim a 7-6 victory and the league title. He added eight more strikeouts over three innings on the mound.
