INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Robert Moore, 50, of Tomahawk, went to jail May 31 after his arrest on Old Middle Fork Road in Inez. He faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first, and operating an all-terrain vehicle on the roadway.
Sheriff Kirk said he made a traffic stop on a 2025 Polaris RZR just after midnight. He reported that Moore had slurred speech and glassy eyes, failed field sobriety tests and registered a 0.172 on a portable breath test.

Alicia D. Howard, 43, of Beauty, went to jail May 29 after his arrest on Himlerville Street in Beauty on a bench warrant for contempt of court. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 1:08 p.m.

Floyd Howell Jr., 53, of Inez, went to jail May 29 after his arrest on Nichols Street in Inez for public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
Deputy Adams responded to a complaint about an intoxicated male attempting to remove his clothing at Quail Hollow. Upon arrival, Adams said he found Howell staggering through the parking lot.
“He was so impaired he could not provide his name,” Adams said. “The only statement he was able to make was ‘a lot.’”
According to the police report, Howell had slurred speech, appeared confused and was repeatedly nodding in and out.

James Gary Hager II, 44, of Belfry, went to jail around 3 p.m. May 29 after police arrested him on KY-40 in Inez on a bench warrant from Pike District Court. He also faces a charge of possession of marijuana.
Sheriff Kirk stated Hager had two baggies of marijuana in his pocket.

Joey Luster, 67, of Inez, went to jail May 27 after his arrest on KY-40 in Inez on a complaint warrant for terroristic threatening, third degree. Deputy David Adams served the warrant.

Kelly C. Harless, 48, of Inez, went to jail May 27 after police arrested him on Fitch Branch Road in Inez on a bench warrant from Martin District Court for contempt of court. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 11:20 a.m.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
