For 250 years, America has celebrated freedom. In Inez, the sky will celebrate too.

The Inez Volunteer Fire Department will continue one of Martin County’s favorite Independence Day traditions Saturday, July 4, with its annual fireworks display in downtown Inez.

Jarrod Slone, Inez firefighter and Martin County Tourism board member, said the show will begin at dark.

Firefighters will launch the fireworks from the hill behind the Collier Center.

The annual display has become a Fourth of July staple for local families and visitors alike, offering a patriotic finale as the nation marks the 250th anniversary of American independence.
