WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Domestic violence allegations, assault cases and theft-related offenses led a week of arrests across Mingo County, with law enforcement agencies taking multiple individuals into custody on charges ranging from strangulation and child neglect to grand larceny and weapons violations.

Roy Lee Morris, 36, was arrested May 23 on charges of strangulation, domestic assault and domestic battery.

Marcy Kay Stevens, 33, was arrested May 22 on conspiracy and grand larceny charges.

Allen Ray Flemmings, 56, of Kermit, was charged with domestic assault. He was arrested by the Williamson Police Department on May 21. Bond was set at $10,000.

Brandon Bragg, 43, address unknown, was arrested May 20 by members of the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department for grand larceny, conspiracy, accident resulting in injury/death, and intentional and malicious abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult resulting in serious bodily injury.

Carrie Ann Ferguson, 44, of Matewan, was charged with trespassing, defying an order to leave and disorderly conduct. She was arrested May 20 by Deputies M. Tiller and T. Justice.

Leonard Lee Dempsey, 48, of Delbarton, was charged with being a prohibited person with a firearm. He was arrested May 20 by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.

Clint Marcum, 45, of Kermit, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for trespassing and brandishing a weapon. He was taken into custody by the WVSP on May 17.

James A. Meade, 55, of Red Jacket, was arrested May 16 by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies R. Moore and B.T. Sipple for an outstanding battery warrant.

Courtney Pack, 32, of Kermit, was charged with malicious assault, unlawful restraint, domestic assault and destruction of property. She also allegedly denied the victim the ability to contact emergency services. She was arrested May 16 by Sr. Trooper Z.K. Bragg.

Calvin Lee Rogers, 42, of Williamson, was charged with violation of a domestic protection order. He was arrested May 15 by WVSP Trooper D.S. Evans.

Hillary Muncy, 23, of Lenore, was charged with child neglect creating a risk of injury. She was arrested May 15 by MCSD Deputies Sipple, Justice and May.

James F. Steele of Williamson was arrested by Deputies Sipple and T.J. Justice for five outstanding warrants issued for larceny.

Jaquelyn Faith Compton, 25, of Dingess, was charged with domestic assault. She was arrested by Deputy M. Tiller.

Stephanie Eastwood, 50, of Dans Branch, was charged with petit larceny. She was arrested by Deputy Tiller.

Cody Kirk, 25, of Old Field Branch Road, was charged with destruction of property at the Panther Mart in Naugatuck. He was arrested by Deputy Justice.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
