INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Tyler Harrison Harless, 28, of Tomahawk, was arrested May 12 on charges of trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to 5 pounds), first offense, and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Deputy J.C. Kirk obtained search warrants for Harris’ residence on Gayle Carter Road and a residence at Dempsey Housing where Harless was staying.
During the search in Tomahawk, deputies say they found several guns, a large amount of cash and small amounts of marijuana. At Dempsey they found more marijuana and cash along with scales.
According to the police report, the marijuana weighed 12.628 ounces and the cash totaled $13,153.
Deputies Kirk, David Adams, Zach Waller and Sheriff Kirk executed the search warrants.

Christopher Maynard, 43, of Lovely, was arrested May 11 on Little Peter Cave Road in Lovely on a bench warrant for contempt of court. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 6:40 p.m.

Carl Douglas Mills, 53, of Inez, was arrested May 11 in Warfield on charges of driving DUI-suspended license, second offense; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/security, second offense; rear license not illuminated, no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and inadequate silencer (muffler).

Ashley N. Fannin, 32, of Debord, was arrested May 8 in Inez on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, first offense, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Sheriff John Kirk said dispatch received a complaint alleging Fannin had been drinking Crown Royal and drove to Pizza Stop in Inez. When officers arrived, Fannin was inside the restaurant and reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.
According to the arrest report, Fannin registered a 0.138 on a preliminary breath test. Police also allegedly found marijuana in her pocket and a marijuana grinder in her possession.

Millard Daniel Newsome, 45, of Debord, was arrested May 8 on Venters Branch in Debord on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree assault.

Brandon Matthew Standafer, 30, of Vicco, was arrested May 7 on KY-908 in Inez on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first offense; no registration receipt; no registration plates; and failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense.
Deputy Adams responded to a 911 complaint regarding a white Dodge truck and later located the vehicle on KY-908. According to Adams, he observed the truck swerve and nearly leave the roadway before initiating a traffic stop.
“I immediately observed extreme slurred speech,” Adams stated in the arrest citation. “[Standafer] spontaneously stated, ‘[Explicit] I’m going to lose my job.’”
Standafer allegedly admitted he had been drinking and had taken “a few shots.”
According to the deputy, Standafer showed clues of impairment during a horizontal gaze nystagmus test. Adams reported that when asked to perform the walk-and-turn and one-leg stand tests, Standafer refused.
“Just take me on to jail,” Standafer allegedly told the deputy.

Samuel R. Preston, 45, of Inez, was arrested May 7 on Leonard Preston Drive in Inez on a bench warrant for Martin District Court for a traffic violation. Sheriff Kirk served the warrant.

John Fletcher, 46, Warfield, was arrested May 7 on Nichols Street in Inez for nonpayment of court costs, fees or fines.

Dustin Monroe Clay, 46, of Beauty, was arrested May 6 in Beauty on a charge of cruelty to animals, second degree. Sheriff Kirk stated that he received a call about an animal that appeared to be starving, tied up at a residence on Beauty Road.
“I observed the dog chained outside in poor physical condition, very slim and barely able to move,” Kirk said in the complaint.

Clistie Marie Trivett, 52, of Lovely, was arrested May 5 at Taylors Court in Lovely on two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition (shoplifting). Deputy B. Maynard made the arrest.

Robert D. Meade, 71, of Inez, was arrested May 5 on Court Street on warrants charging him with two counts of terroristic threatening and one count of first-degree burglary. Deputies Billy Wells and Ronald Patrick II served the warrants.

Kristi Kadar, 50, was arrested May 4 on charges of impersonating a peace officer and terroristic threatening, first degree.
Deputy Zach Waller went to a Debord residence to serve Kadar with an eviction notice after she allegedly refused to leave the home of an elderly resident. According to Waller, upon being served, Kadar became belligerent, claimed to be a federal agent and threatened to kill both President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.
Sheriff Kirk said Kadar had developed an online friendship with the elderly homeowner approximately six months earlier through TikTok and received an invitation to stay in the home.
Kirk said he notified federal law enforcement agencies about the threats.

Trenton Joseph Day, 33, of Clay City, was arrested April 28 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on a bench warrant from Martin District Court.
