1963—2026

Pamela (Chafin) Wenz, 62, of Fort Gay, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, May 8, 2026, at her home.

Born Dec. 27, 1963, she was the daughter of Homer Chafin and the late Eula Mae Chafin.

Pamela was a retired school bus driver.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister Anita Chafin Byrun, brother-in-law Rick Newsome and her very special friend Clyde Messer.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Homer and Patricia Chafin; daughter Deidre (Messer) Warren of Fort Gay; three grandchildren, Triniti Dixon, Derek Warren and Eli Fitch; brother Junior (Tonya) Muncy of Louisa, Kentucky; sisters Sonja Chafin of Fort Gay and Angel (Johnathen) Williamson of West Virginia; special aunt Irene Moore of Stepptown; nieces and nephews Billy (Tiffany) Newsome, Jesse (Jamie) Newsome, Shawn (Hilary) Chafin, Johnathan (Paige) Hatfield, Mindy (Justin) Meredith and Maegan Osborn; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Riverbend Freewill Baptist Church in Crum at noon May 13, 2026, with Ken Allen officiating. Burial will be at the Chafin Family Cemetery in Glen Hayes. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
