Mingo County arrest report

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Magistrate Court clerk’s officer released several criminal complaints and arrest reports, while jail booking information was obtained from the Southwestern Regional Jail.

Matthew Doyle Slone

Matthew Doyle Slone, 54, was booked May 4 in Mingo County on a bond violation.

Chantel Marie Steele

Chantel Marie Steele, 21, was booked May 3 on a bond violation.

Tracy James Evans

Tracy James Evans, 35, was booked May 2 on charges of burglary, trespassing, destruction of property and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Bobbi Crum

Bobbi Crum, 35, was booked May 2 on burglary and trespassing charges.

Clifford Trent

Clifford Trent, 77, was booked May 1 on attempted first-degree murder and domestic assault charges.

Dakota Blankenship

Dakota Blankenship, 25, was booked April 30 on a probation violation.

Curtis Collins Jr.

Curtis Collins Jr., 44, was arrested April 29 by members of the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department (MCSD) on a Logan County warrant for one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian. Collins reportedly taught at Logan Middle School. He had been on administrative leave since February.

Logan County Schools announced that it was opening an investigation into two staff members at Logan County Middle School.

The school system said it was “cooperating fully with local law enforcement,” and the District Attorney’s Office and the West Virginia Department of Education have been notified, in accordance with the Child Protective Services law.

Anna Key, 50, of Red Jacket, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and uttering a bad check. She was arrested by MCSD Deputy G. May.

Jolene Nicole Sparks, of Horsepen Creek, was charged with larceny for taking a Kobalt tool set from the victim and then pawning it at the Gilbert Pawn Shop. She was arrested by Deputy May.

James Phillip Whitt, 45, of Delbarton, was charged with domestic battery. He was arrested by WVSP Trooper J. Marcum.

Eva Jones, 41, of Lenore, was charged with violation of a protective order. She was arrested by WVSP Trooper J. Marcum.

Martha Melinda Mills-Adkins, 50, of Williamson, was charged with obstructing an officer, resisting arrest and assault on an officer. WPD patrolmen Moore and Hightower arrested her.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
