WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Magistrate Court Clerk’s office released these criminal complaints and arrest reports the week of April 19.
Brandon Goosinow, 28, of Chattaroy, was charged with possession with intent to deliver (fentanyl), conspiracy and transferring and receiving stolen goods. The arrest happened on U.S. 119 near Belo. Goosinow was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Joseph Blevins, 30, of Turkey Creek, Kentucky. Blevins was charged with transferring and receiving stolen property. The two were arrested by WVSP Trooper J. Kitts with assistance from MCSD Deputy M. Tiller. The officers confiscated digital scales and a bag of a white powdery substance along with telecommunication phone line in the bed of the pickup truck which was in plain sight.
The Williamson Police Department (WPD) investigated a situation where homeless persons were allegedly squatting in a vacant building. Three arrests were made.
Micha Fields, 32, of Dans Branch, was charged with burglary and trespassing in Williamson. WPD patrolmen Moore and Hightower arrested him.
Stephanie Eastwood, 50, also of Dans Branch, was charged with burglary and trespassing in Williamson. WPD patrolmen Moore and Hightower arrested her.
Amanda Williamson, 47, of Belfry, Kentucky, was charged with burglary, obstructing an officer and trespassing in Williamson. WPD patrolmen Moore and Hightower arrested her. MCSD Deputy Fleming assisted in the arrest.
Henry Daniel Gantt, 54, of Martinsburg, was charged with malicious assault and disorderly conduct. He was arrested by Gilbert Police Department patrolman J. Collins.
Dallas Chafins, 37, of Dingess, was charged with domestic battery and domestic assault. He was arrested by West Virginia State Police (WVSP) Trooper J. Kitts.
Matthew Doyle Slone, 54, of Williamson, was charged with driving on a revoked license (DUI), fleeing an officer on foot and in a vehicle, obstructing an officer, and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was arrested by WVSP Trooper Kitts.
Timothy M. Sampson, 35, of Williamson, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. WVSP Sgt. Z. S. Holden arrested him.
Thomas Franklin Thomas, 54, of Williamson, was charged with transferring and receiving stolen goods (telecommunication lines), fraudulent schemes and illegal purchase of scrap metal. The material allegedly belonged to Frontier Communications. The arrest was made by Deputy G.J. May after an investigation involving Big Frank’s Scrap Metal in Williamson. MCSD Lt. E. Sherrill was also an investigating officer in the case.
Briana Blankenship, 31, of Williamson, was charged with destruction of property, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. The incident occurred at a Dollar General store in Varney. MCSD Deputy A. Moore was the investigating and arresting officer.
All of those arrested were arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court. Some were lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
