Terry Michael ‘Mikey’ Stapleton
1959—2026

Terry Michael “Mikey” Stapleton, age 66, of Louisa, passed away April 25, 2026, at his residence from a sudden illness.

Born May 26, 1959, in Louisa, he was the son of the late Clarence and Nora (Terry) Stapleton.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Ray Stapleton; one sister, Mary Howell; one brother-in-law, Richard “Rick” Meade; and two sisters-in-law, Teresa Stapleton and Ann Stapleton.

Terry is survived by five sisters, Bonnie Meade, Alice Stapleton, Nora (Frank) Truitt, all of Louisa, and Brenda (Victor Seidlertz) Stapleton and Julie (Ron) Gilmore, both of Franklin, Ohio; two brothers, Samuel Stapleton and Clarence Stapleton, both of Louisa, and one brother-in-law, Frankie Howell. Terry had many special nieces and nephews. He had 15 nieces and nephews, 36 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 18 great-great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two special friends, Kim Preece and Jamie Hall.

Terry was a member of Richardson Chapel. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at noon at Richardson Chapel with Tommy Meade officiating. Burial will follow at the Stapleton Cemetery on Nats Creek. Visitation will be at the church Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28. Family may visit beginning at 4 p.m. on Monday and friends from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Tuesday, family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
