Pauletta Mills Hinkle
1955—2026

Pauletta Mills Hinkle, age 71, of Louisa, passed away April 13, 2026, at her residence.

Born March 29, 1955, she was the daughter of the late James Mills Jr. and Ethel Pack Mills.

In addition to her parents, Pauletta was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Maynard; one daughter, Megan A. Maynard; one son, Justin A. Maynard; one granddaughter, Mallory Babcock; four nephews; and one niece.

Pauletta is survived by her two children, Brett Cassady of Louisa and Crystal (Todd) Babcock of New Haven, Indiana; one brother, Randy Mills of Inez; seven sisters, Donna Farris of Frankfort, Janet Hobbs of Richmond, Joann Davis of Flatwoods, Charlotte Endicott of Tennessee, Minnie Coyle of Ohio, and Judy Crum and Deborah Stepp, both of Inez; two grandchildren, Erin Babcock of Michigan and Natalee Babcock of Indiana. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pauletta was a member of the Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Turkey Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Garrett Mills, Rev. Dwayne Mills and Rev. Derek Catron officiating. Burial followed at the Mills Horn Crum Cemetery in Inez. Pallbearers were Justin Chapman, Aleshia Chapman, Rick Crum, Nick Sumpter, Brad Stepp and Gary Gauze.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home in Inez.
