CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Bailee Hall powered Tug Valley with three hits and her eighth home run of the season Friday while Katie Hall added a homer in a 9-0 win over Beckley Woodrow Wilson at the Capital Invitational Tourney.

Bailee Hall singled in the first inning, tripled in the second and launched a solo home run in the fifth.

Emma Lackey struck out 10 batters on the day. The starter allowed two hits and no runs over five innings while walking just one to get the pitching win.

The Lady Panthers opened the scoring in the first after K. Hall singled, bringing in one run. Then a triple by B. Hall and a sacrifice fly by Paisley Bolyard helped extend the early lead in the second.

Five more Tug Valley runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 9-0. This was thanks to B. Hall’s solo home run to left field and K. Hall’s solo home run to center field, along with Bryleigh Fletcher drawing a walk and scoring. Makayle Bryant also grounded out and drove in two more runs.

Karlie Fraley took the loss for Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles. She went five innings, surrendering nine runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out five and walking one.

Kacie Fraley and Lilly Collins each collected one hit for the Flying Eagles.

The second game Saturday versus PikeView was canceled after two innings due to rain.
