As summer gives way to autumn, Martin County once again prepares for the most anticipated weekend on our calendar — the Kiwanis Club-sponsored Harvest Festival. Now in its 29th year, the festival has grown into everyone’s favorite tradition, filling Court Street with music, laughter and a spirit of joy that is unmistakable.
This year’s theme, “Fall for Martin County,” captures the festival’s essence perfectly: carnival rides spinning with laughter, contests that bring out friendly competition, vendors lining the streets, a parade showing off community pride, and above all, a chance to fall in love again with our people and the place we call home.
The Harvest Festival truly offers something for everyone.
Families can count on two days of affordable fun. Music lovers will revel in an eclectic slate of performers capped by country hitmaker CJ Solar. His appearance in Martin County marks just how far the festival has come and it is a point of pride for us all.
Behind this success is steady leadership.
Kiwanis Club president Melissa Phelps has guided the planning with vision and energy. She is committed to expanding attractions and bringing a bigger, better festival each year. Under her leadership, the Kiwanians have united local businesses, schools, volunteers and organizations, proving what we can accomplish when we work side by side for a common goal.
As we look ahead to Sept. 12–13, let us recognize and appreciate the Kiwanis Club, Melissa Phelps and the countless volunteers who make the Harvest Festival possible. Their work ensures that Martin County’s biggest event remains a place where families gather, traditions thrive and people have a great time.
Truly, this is the time to “Fall for Martin County.”
