INEZ — Surrounded by teammates, coaches and family at Martin County High School, senior Kaylee Endicott signed May 15 to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Pikeville.
She will join UPIKE’s softball program this fall while pursuing a degree in nursing.
Endicott, raised by her grandfather Donald Marcum of Martin County, has been a member of the honor roll for four years. She was vice president of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club and received third place in the regional skills competition.
Endicott is a licensed CNA and passed her NOCTI exam for college and career readiness. She also holds a certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Beyond the diamond, the multi-sport athlete earned a spot on the All “A” 15th Region team in soccer. On the sideline, she received the Universal Cheerleaders Association “Pin it Forward” award for leadership and spirit this season.
In addition to her other activities, she took part in the yearbook, pep and drama clubs.
