Vondene Hunt
1961—2024

Vondene Hunt, age 63, of Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Born Jan. 26, 1961 in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Hunt and Ada Luster Hunt.

In addition to her mother and father, Vondene is preceded in death by five brothers, Phillip Hunt, Junior Hunt, James Michael Hunt, Lundy Bruce Hunt and Gary Thomas Hunt, and one sister, Sandra Carol Maynard.

Survivors include two sisters, Vicky and Jason Spence of Tomahawk and Rita and Donnie Preece of Inez; special nieces Ada Spence, Alexandria Stacy and Anna Elswick; great-niece and nephew, Laelynn Stacy and Jaxson Finley. Several other nieces, nephews and family also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery, Inez. Friends may visit the funeral home from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
