Mary Elizabeth Jude
1962—2024

Mary Elizabeth Jude, 61, of Pilgrim, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, as a result of a house fire.

Born Aug. 22, 1962, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mahala Maynard Jude. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Buck (Mildred) Jude, Pete Jude, Vondy Jude and Julie Bailey.

She was a graduate of Belfry High School and a homemaker.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joe Blackburn, two precious sons, Bobby Jude and Johnny (Arlana) Jude and the light of her life, her only grandson, Christopher Jude. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Clifford (Rachel) Jude and Ed Jude, Mindy (Trenton) Bevins, Hessie (Nattie) Avitia, and Bonnie (Willie) Mullins, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service was conducted Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church. Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, is honored to serve the family.
