Claude Hatcher
1949—2024

Claude Hatcher, 75, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at his home.

Born April 15, 1949, in Kermit, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ed and Eva Hatcher.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James “Jim” Hatcher and L.D. “Duke” Hatcher.

Survivors include Claude’s companion, Brenda Taylor; son, Van Allen; and siblings, Charles (Claudette) Hatcher, Thomas (Carol) Hatcher, Eddie (Faye) Hatcher, Clifford (Sue) Hatcher, Bill (Jeanie) Hatcher, Mary (Herman) Stacy and Robin (Alvis) Stacy. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Linda Hatcher of Columbus, Ohio, and Priscilla Hatcher of Muncie, Indiana.

Claude graduated from Kermit High School in 1967. He was a retired coal miner and a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
