INEZ — Martin Circuit Judge J. Kevin Holbrook issued charges against three individuals under the Rocket Docket program Thursday.
Paul D. Brewer, 40, of Kermit, West Virginia, is accused of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession or use of drug paraphernalia. The Commonwealth’s Attorney alleges Brewer had methamphetamine, scales and glass pipes at the time of his arrest April 1.
Michael D. Dean, 53, of Erlanger, faces charges of possession of marijuana and two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance. The Commonwealth’s Attorney accuses Dean of having marijuana, methamphetamine and an unspecified drug at the time of his arrest Feb. 17.
Breezy Jude, 38, of Warfield, is charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession or use of drug paraphernalia. She allegedly had marijuana, methamphetamine and a glass pipe at the time of her arrest March 22.
Jude faces additional charges in a separate case stemming from her arrest Jan. 10. Those include possession/use of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property under $10,000/complicity, and trafficking in the first degree over 2 grams of methamphetamine. The Commonwealth accuses Jude of having suboxone, glass pipes, a Samsung smartphone previously reported stolen, two baggies with approximately 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and small individual plastic baggies with intent to traffic methamphetamine.
Holbrook ordered each defendant to appear for arraignment April 18.
The Rocket Docket program waives the grand jury process. It allows the local prosecutor to expedite cases through the judicial system and enables select defendants rapid access to substance abuse treatment.
