TC Maynard takes over as Martin County baseball coach

INEZ — Martin County High School announced that TC Maynard is the new head baseball coach succeeding Wesley Hager.

Maynard was a standout baseball player at Sheldon Clark from 2003 until 2006 under then-coach Mike Hall. He served as a second baseman and helped lead Sheldon Clark to a 57th District championship and a 15th Region championship.

Maynard attended Big Sandy Community and Technical College and Eastern Kentucky University, earning a degree in criminal justice. He has been employed at the federal prison in Martin County since 2012.

The new coach has remained active in the baseball community, coaching Little League All-Stars and travel ball teams. Maynard and his wife Devonna Maynard have four children.

“I’m very grateful,” Maynard said of his new coaching role. “Devonna, our kids and I love baseball and are excited to dedicate ourselves to the Martin County High School baseball program.”
