Jeremy Jarvis

Jeremy Jarvis, 36, of Little Rockcastle Road, Inez, faces charges in two separate true bills.

The first indictment charges Jarvis of burglary in the third degree and persistent felony offender in the second degree. The grand jury accuses Jarvis, acting alone or in complicity with Dennis Maynard, of entering a garage owned by Kaitlyn Ward in Pilgrim with the intent to commit the crime of theft Sept. 5, 2023. The indictment states Jarvis was previously convicted of a prior felony for which a sentence imposed a term of imprisonment of one year or more and that he either completed service of the sentence, was on some form of legal release or discharge, or escaped from custody within five years of the instant offense. The court set bail at $5,000.

In a second true bill, the grand jury brings charges of burglary in the first degree, persistent felony offender in the second degree, and theft of stolen credit/debit cards (more than two cards) against Jarvis.

The indictment claims Jarvis entered Scott and Diana Siegel’s dwelling in Lovely with the intent to commit a crime Nov. 20, 2023, and that while in the dwelling or during the immediate flight from the dwelling was armed with a deadly weapon.

According to the indictment, authorities caught Jarvis with two or more credit or debit cards belonging to Scott Siegel and Diana Kay Triplett (Siegel).

The grand jury claims that Salmons’ conduct Dec. 9, 2023, created a substantial danger to Kenny Crum. According to the indictment, Salmons also physically assaulted or attempted to assault Deputy Chris Sesco with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and District 4 Constable Brad Preece. On the fourth-degree assault charge, the indictment alleges Salmons assaulted Kenny Crum and states that she placed Crum, Sesco and Preece in reasonable apprehension of imminent physical injury.
