Avonell (Jude) Dotson Nichols
1948—2024

Avonell Jude Dotson Nichols, 75, of Inez, passed away Feb. 1, 2024, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born July 11, 1948, in Pilgrim, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Rosie Fletcher Jude.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Chester Dotson, her daughter, Dafany Dotson, and two brothers, James “Jimmy” Jude and Marvin Jude.

Survivors include two sons, Kester Dotson, Jr. of Sweetwater, Florida, and Brian Eric Dotson of Inez; one daughter, Amy (Shawn) Fromsdorf of Ocala, Florida; two brothers, Ralph Jude and Sammy (Cindy) Jude, both of Williamson, West Virginia; and one sister, Mary Fletcher of Inez. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Serenity Fromsdorf, Justin Fromsdorf, Maddox Fromsdorf and Pantara Fromsdorf.

At the request of the family, there will be no services at this time. A memorial will be held at the Moore Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
