INEZ — Katie Marcum (#32) of the Martin County Lady Cards is the Mountain Citizen Player of the Week.

Marcum delivered an outstanding double-double vs. Magoffin County, scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in Martin County’s 91-53 win.

She scored 28 points and tallied 15 rebounds vs. Paintsville to lead the Lady Cards to a 68-58 win.

On Sunday, the senior followed up those performances with 15 points and eight rebounds vs. Mercer County to help Martin County to a 68-58 win.

Marcum has been instrumental in Martin County’s 8-2 record, recording six double-doubles on the young season.

She is the daughter of Hazel and Bobby Marcum.
