Lawrence County’s Phill Barnett unveils debut single ‘Nowhere,’ an ode to home and heritage

LAWRENCE COUNTY — Mark your calendars. On Oct. 27, Lawrence County native Phill Barnett will step into the music scene with the release of his much-anticipated debut single “Nowhere.”

Available to stream and purchase online and uniquely offered for purchase on floppy disc, “Nowhere” is more than just a song—it is a haunting and spiritual journey through Barnett’s Twin Branch roots, the opioid epidemic, life away from home and love.

Infused with elements of psychedelic folk-rock, electronica and Americana, the single promises to resonate with listeners on both an emotional and sonic level. [Sneak preview below.]

“After writing songs for more than two decades I’m very excited to be sharing my first official single with y’all,” Barnett said. “‘Nowhere’ is a meditation on life and death and missing home. It’s a love song and a gospel song and more than anything it’s a song of gratitude. I hope y’all like it.”
