Dance Cards shine in debut performance

INEZ — Martin County High School Dance Cardinals made an unforgettable entrance Friday, captivating the crowd during the football game’s halftime show.

Anticipation ran high, and the dancers did not disappoint, earning a standing ovation and cheers from the entire county for their Cardinal Cowgirl themed dance.

Set to Jason Aldean’s hit country song, the Dance Cards’ debut routine embodied a true country spirit. “From her down home roots to her cowboys boots,” the dancers encapsulated the essence of the music and the red sparkle boots, leaving a mark on the audience.

Coaches Kara Marcum and Amy Kerr expressed their elation at the dancers’ achievement.

“We aimed for a wow moment for this debut dance, and that’s precisely what they delivered,” Marcum said. “Their dedication and effort have made us incredibly proud.”

The talented Dance Cards include Ashdon Kerr, Addison Duncan, Katelynn Hale, Aaliyah Cline, Katie Maynard, Hailey Damron, Keelyn Stepp, Kayleigh Osendott, Bella Muncy, Tamara Workman, Jada Williamson, Hallee Preece, Margie McKinney, Chloe May, Sophie Harless, Larissa Hale, Kenadie Evans, Raegan Horn, Alexis Hale, Shyla Moore and Keyera Maynard.
