Meet Martin County volleyball seniors Marcum and Mollett

Martin County senior volleyball player Katie Marcum (#32), nicknamed Katie Bug, pulls double duty playing volleyball and basketball. Her position on the volleyball is all-around.

Katie enjoys spending time with family, camping, playing basketball and ATV riding.

Katie’s favorite places to visit are Tennessee, Mawmaw Mary’s, Granny’s and Mamaw Cathy’s grave.

The senior’s plans after high school include attending college, playing sports, becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and starting a family.

A fun fact about Katie is she is the oldest of five children.

Katie sends a shoutout to her parents, grandparents, Wolfman and Judy, coaches and friends for helping her become who she is today. She says she could not have made it without these people in her life.

A favorite pregame meal for Katie is a rotisserie chicken sandwich from Subway. Her pregame ritual is planning ahead and being prepared for whatever comes her way.

“Always be prepared in advance so you will know what to expect,” she said.

Megan Mollett

Martin County senior volleyball player Megan Mollett (# 30), nicknamed Meg, plays middle blocker. She has been playing volleyball since elementary school.

Megan’s hobbies include listening to music, drawing and hanging out with friends.

Her favorite place to visit is Disney World.

Megan is a member of FCCLA and FBLA.

A fun fact about Megan is she has two German Shepard dogs named Macy and Lucy.

After graduation, Megan plans on attending college and becoming a teacher.

Megan sends a shoutout to Sarah Keener for being one of the team’s heavy hitters.
