Seniors Farmers’ Market vouchers for seniors with low income will be available for pickup June 19-20 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and June 21 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis at the Martin County Senior Citizens Center.
Seniors will need identification and proof of income.
Martin County Senior Citizens Center director Jennifer Crum said when entering the center, seniors will need to sign in and have a seat.
Low-income seniors are at individuals at least 60 years old and who have household incomes of not more than 185% of the federal poverty income guidelines:
One person – $26,973
Two people – $36,482
Three people – $45,991
Four people – $55,500
Five people – $65,009
The USDA program is designed to provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs.
