LOUISA — Police are investigating an anonymous bomb threat to administrators at Louisa Middle School early Thursday morning.

Lawrence County Schools Superintendent Robbie Fletcher said in a press release that the school was quickly evacuated following the threat.

“After a thorough assessment of the building, we were given the ‘all-clear’ to move students back to class shortly after 10 a.m.,” Fletcher said.

Kentucky State Police, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Louisa Police Department, fire departments, and other first responders were on the scene.

Fletcher said parents were alerted to the situation via text messages.
