BEAUTY — Helping Hands Food Pantry volunteers were flagging people over and loading them up with fresh produce Friday in Beauty.
Volunteers were outside the center at the intersection of Routes 40 and 2031.
“We try to put it on Facebook when we get a lot of stuff,” volunteer Junior Stanley said. “But we didn’t get a lot of stuff, so we’re just flagging over.”
Stanley was distributing boxes filled with tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, eggplant, zucchini and more.
Pantry director Oretha Stanley’s husband Wendell Stanley said Facing Hunger Foodbank out of Huntington donated the produce
Helping Hands has been operating in Beauty since 2004.
