BY ROGER SMITH MOUNTAIN CITIZEN INEZ — A Debord man was taken into custody Tuesday evening after allegedly assaulting a woman and threatening law enforcement on East Main Street. According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Millard Newsome was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with first-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.
