Alice Lloyd College receives historic $10 million endowment gift from The Bill Gatton Foundation
PIPPA PASSES — Alice Lloyd College announced Friday a $10 million endowment from The Bill Gatton Foundation, marking the largest single gift to its endowment fund in the college’s history. The college said in a press release that the donation will support its mission to prepare graduates to return to and serve the Appalachian region.

Martin County students make Alice Loyd College honors lists
PIPPA PASSES — Alice Lloyd College announced its president’s list, dean’s distinguished list and dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. Those lists include three students from Martin County. Isaiah Lawrence Zuidema of Inez made the president’s list after he achieved a 4.0 grade-point average. Jonathan Allyn Zuidema of Inez is on the dean’s distinguished list.
