Deputy-involved shooting leaves one dead
CITIZEN STAFF REPORT LENORE, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police (WVSP) Williamson detachment is investigating a fatal deputy-involved shooting that occurred in Lenore in Mingo County. The incident happened Friday evening in the Laurel Creek Road area. WVSP says deputies with the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired.

Threat leads to lockdown at Tug Valley High School
