Eden captures B-team title
BY BRITTNI MCCOY MOUNTAIN CITIZEN WARFIELD — The Eden Wildcats are the B-team Martin County elementary tournament champions after taking down Inez 42-11 on Jan. 15. Kingston Deskins had a big night and hit for a Mickey D’s 20-piece. He knocked down four 3-pointers in the win. Lyric Howell added 12 points with two treys.

Eden brings home C1 title
BY BRITTNI MCCOY MOUNTAIN CITIZEN INEZ — Eden claimed the C1 championship with a 30-5 win over Inez on Jan. 14. Waylon Porter led the Wildcats with 12 points, Eli Greer scored eight and Hank Reed added six. Randy Harless and Kace Nezbeth scored two points each. Fin Goforth scored all five points for Inez.

Eden wins C2 championship
BY BRITTNI MCCOY MOUNTAIN CITIZEN INEZ —Eden took the C2 title with a 26-2 win over Warfield on Jan. 14 at EES. Willie Porter and Christian Davis scored eight points apiece to lead the Wildcats. Brian Burke and Kolton Maynard each scored four, and Kash Jude added two. Jaxton Moore scored two points for Warfield.

Indians win over Red Devils
BRITTNI MCCOY MOUNTAIN CITIZEN WARFIELD — Inez notched wins at Warfield. The A-team defeated the Red Devils 42-13 while the B-team won 16-8. Rocco Maynard led all scorers with 20 points.
