Easter egg hunts are set for Martin County and Kermit. Various organizations are hosting. Kermit’s egg hunt is April 3 starting at 2 p.m. at Kermit Park. ABLE Families is organizing the event. Pigeon Roost Trade Days BY ROGER SMITHMOUNTAIN CITIZEN PIGEON ROOST — Mark your calendars for the first weekend in May for food, fun, games and more. Trade Days returns May 5, 6 and 7 to the Pigeon Roost Community Park. Vendors can start selling around 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday and around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Litter pickup April 2
A litter cleanup day is set for April 2. The Martin County Spring Pickup, sponsored by Jared Goforth, will begin a 10 a.m. at the Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene. “We will divide into groups and pick up trash along Route 908 to Big Elk and along Route 292 toward Calf Creek,” Goforth said.
