Martin County High School Academic Cardinals delivered a strong performance at the 15th Region Governor’s Cup on Saturday. They secured third place overall and earned a spot in the state tournament in two weeks. Individually, Collin Mills placed third in Mathematics. His teammate Russell Maynard claimed third in Arts & Humanities and fourth in Language Arts.

Martin County Middle School wins third place in Governor’s Cup
PAINTSVILLE — Martin County Middle School secured a third-place finish in the District 73 Governor’s Cup tournament Saturday at Johnson Central in Paintsville. Five MCMS students will advance to regionals. Blake Stacy, Ella Lawson, Audrey Vanover, Morgan Allen and Isaac Ward will move on to the Region 19 tournament in February.
