William ‘Ken’ Harmon

1944—2022

William McKinley “Ken” Harmon, 78, of Pilgrim, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at the Martin County Healthcare Facility in Inez.

He was born Aug. 31, 1944, to the late Alexandria Harmon and Sallie Neece. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Blanche Lengi, Effie Harmon, Agnes Hyde, Beatrice Lewis, Helen Trago and Alice Kooser; and brothers James Harmon, Homer Harmon, Ralph Harmon, Earl Harmon, John Harmon, Eddie Harmon and Freddie Harmon.

Ken is survived by his three daughters, Leigh Michelle (Oliver) Vaughan, Natalie Harmon (Joshua) Franks and Bridgette Harmon, and grandchildren, Quenten Vaughan, Joshua Vaughan and Jaxon Mckinley Harmon. He is also survived by his brother Millard Harmon, nephew Rick Harmon, and nieces Linda Chapman and Jean Saunders.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at the Union United Baptist Church in Pilgrim, with Terry Harmon officiating. Burial was in the Harmon Family Cemetery in Pilgrim, under the direction of Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield.
