BRAEHOLM, W.Va. — A former Martin County resident was hit and killed early Monday morning while walking in the middle of the road in the Braheholm community of Logan County, W.Va.

George Jude Jr., 49, of Amherstdale, W.Va., was hit by a driver on Buffalo Creek Road at about 6:15 a.m.

The driver, Greg Matney, 43, of Amherstdale, was not charged with Jude’s death. However, he was charged with driving on a DUI-revoked license and no proof of insurance.
