Boyd Marcum

1943—2022

Boyd Marcum, 79, of Kermit, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at the Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg.

He was born May 25, 1943.

Boyd leaves behind his wife, Hazel Muncy Marcum; daughter Sherry (Harold) Marcum of Kermit, W.Va.; brother Harry Marcum of Crum, W.Va.; and sister Nancy Shlor of Logan, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends; all of the Muncy family; and brothers and sisters in Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Ola Horn Marcum; brother James W. Marcum of Ohio; sisters Lilly Marcum, Mary Allen Marcum and Pauline Legue of Ohio.

Boyd was a retired coal miner and a small-business owner. He is very loved and will be greatly missed by many. He was of the Baptist faith and member of the Crum Separate Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, with services at 7 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Billy Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcum Family Cemetery at Boyd Drive, Left Fork of Marrowbone, Kermit, W.Va. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
