INEZ — A big crowd came out for the first-ever Martin County 4-H pet show Friday during the Harvest Festival.

The show was at the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Office in Inez, orchestrated by Nicole Hinkle, Extension agent/4-H Development.

“We were so happy to see a big crowd and look forward to an even bigger and better show next year,” Hinkle said. “This was a learning experience for all of us, so everything wasn’t perfect, but overall it was a great event.”

Contestants were allowed to enter Division 1 (ages 9-18) or Division 2 (ages 3-8).

The categories were dogs/puppies, cats/kittens and other.

Awards in each division included Best in Show, Best Trick and Most Unique.
